Château Couhins blanc

Hailing from an exceptional clay-limestone hillside, Château Couhins is characterised by its freshness, elegance, purity, complexity, and minerality.

We harvest our grapes at optimal maturity in order to elevate the signature Sauvignon Blanc within our whites, with an aromatic palette that is rich in citrus, white peach, exotic fruit, and floral notes. The salinity present on the finish gives an almost infinite persistence to this wine.

Denis Dubourdieu: “Château Couhins is one of those rare places that can produce white wines that will stand the test of time”

Château Couhins rouge

Our vineyard, despite being one continuous plot, boasts a diverse range of terroirs, where the different Bordeaux varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot) can express themselves fully.

Thanks to this, we produce several lots per variety with vastly different sensory profiles, allowing us to play with a large aromatic palette and be as particular as possible when blending.

Château Couhins Rouge possesses the characteristics of a great Pessac-Léognan wine: finesse, length, and a perfect balance between the tannic framework and the delectability of our grapes. Our limited use of cask maturation, with 12 months ageing in less than 30% new oak barrels, encourages the clear expression of fruit .
